The present data privacy principles describe how Asma GmbH (hereinafter „Asma“) on the website „polyurethane.at“ or its other websites collects, manages, and uses data about persons visiting these websites. These principles do not apply to websites of third parties to which the present website or other Asma websites are linked.

Moreover, please note that Asma will, in case of any modification of its services or with regard to legislative amendments, from time to time change, amend, extend, remove, or update in another suitable way these data privacy principles. Your personal data, however, will always be used in compliance with the version of data privacy principles which was in effect when the data were collected. We will publish on this website any modifiction of our data privacy principles, in order to inform you to the full extent about the nature of personal data we collect, about the way we use these data, and under which circumstances they can be transmitted. Our data privacy principles are available on our website and can be retrieved via the homepage which you can reach from any other page. In places where personal data are collected, you will find - if necessary - additional information about the purpose of these data and, if appropriate, the possibility to give your consent. 

  1. Guarantee to protect your privacy and personal data, resp. 

Asma follows the legal requirements for the protection of personal data, such as the EU Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Law 2000. Personal data are data such as for instance: name, date of birth, e-mail or postal address, or phone number, i.e. data serving to identify a person. Generally speaking, we process personal data exclusively according to the Data Protection Regulation. The following paragraph explains how and when Asma collects personal data. Incidentally, we may be obliged within the scope of applicable law to further process data in order to support legal or governmental investigations.

  1. Intended use of personal data

Most of the internet services provided by Asma can be visited without personal registration or disclosure of a person’s identity. In connection with certain services, however, we will ask for your name, a user name, and if necessary, further personal information. You will then

 

decide freely whether you want to supply such information. However, if you do not provide the necessary information, Asma cannot render the service desired and cannot handle your eventual requests. 

Also outside of purely online-based collection of data your personal data may be used within the scope of the Data Protection Regulation, for instance in order to provide you with products and services, to invoice the products and services delivered, to introduce to you products and services that you might be interested in, or to communicate with you regarding other purposes resulting from the context or purposes of which we informed you when we collected your personal data. Asma will store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the above purposes and in compliance with applicable legal requirements. If you do not wish to get any further information please do not hesitate to notify us of your objection.

  1. Privacy of personal data

Except for the situations described in the present data privacy principles Asma will not disclose your personal data to third parties. Within the scope of applicable law personal data may be disclosed to other companies within the Asma group in foreign countries, who then are obliged to handle those personal data in compliance with the present data privacy principles. Personal data may also be disclosed to third parties acting on behalf and in the name of Asma, in order to process those personal data according to the purpose for which the personal data were originally collected, for instance the delivery of services, analysis of our website’s user-friendliness, marketing, data processing, or any kind of technical support. These third parties are bound by contract with Asma as per the so-called „commissioned data processing“ and therefore must not disclose personal data to any further third parties without our explicit prior consent; they may disclose your personal data only insofar as we have agreed to the disclosure in compliance with applicable law, or if legal regulations require the disclosure to third parties to fulfill applicable law. 

Your personal data may also be disclosed to third parties if a business unit or parts of a business unit is/are sold, conveyed or transferred together with the pertinent customer-related data. You will agree to this where necessary and reasonable. In such a case we would, before closing the deal, contractually oblige the buyer or the overtaking party, resp., to handle any personal data in compliance with the present data privacy principles. Equally, personal data may be disclosed to third parties if we are compelled to do so to fulfill applicable law, a court order, or a governmental order issued within the scope of legal regulations, or if the disclosure of personal data is necessary and permitted under Austrian Law to support judicial or police procedures. 

  1. Right to discovery, correction, and deletion

Asma strives to make sure that all personal data recorded are always correct, up-to-date and reliable with regard to the purpose they are intended for. We offer you the possibility to object to the processing of your personal data insofar as the legal regulations allow you to object. This particularly refers to direct marketing measures (right to object to the use of data for advertising purposes) where there is no explicit consent required anyway (opt-in). Please notify us if you wish to object to the use of your personal data for adverting purposes. Also contact us if you have any questions related to the use of your personal data. In such a case, please indicate the name of the website where you entered your personal data, identify yourself and let us know which specific data you wish to be corrected, updated or deleted. Any request regarding the deletion of personal data will be executed taking into consideration all applicable legal regulations as well as requirements for compulsory archiving, and the obligation to produce supporting documents. 

  1. Security and confidentiality

In order to guarantee the safety and confidentiality of personal data recorded on-line by Asma, Asma, among others measures, has installed data networks provided with standard protective mechanisms and password protection. Moreover, Asma applies suitable measures to protect your personal data against loss, abuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or destruction.

In case you want to transfer personal data electronically by entering them on our website, your data will be transmitted in encrypted form via internet to our web server, stored, and saved, all using a state-of-the-art secure connection (Secure Socket Layer - SSL). Please note that , in contrast to the above method, data transmitted via e-mail generally are not encrypted. 

At the current state of technology, it is not possible to guarantee the overall security of data transmitted via the internet. Other users might be technically capable of intervening in the network safety and thus controlling the transfer of messages without authorization. Please keep this in mind when you contact us. 

  1. Web analysis

The present website uses Google Analytics, a web-based analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", i.e. text files stored on your computer allowing to analyse your personal use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP-address) is transmitted to and stored on a server operated by Google in the USA. Google will use this information to analyse your use of this website, to compile reports on website activities for the owners of the websites, and to provide further services associated with website and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process data on Google’s behalf. Google will under no circumstances use your IP-address in connection with other data retrieved by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by making the appropriate adjustments in your browser software; please note that in this case you may eventually not be able to use all the functions provided by this website to their full extent. By using the present website, you agree to accept that your personal data collected by Google are processed in the way described above and for the purposes mentioned above.
